When using the trigger section at Trapped Minds, please always try and follow the guidelines below. These are vital to keep our community safe at all times.
  1. Respect and Sensitivity.
    • You must always be respectful and sensitive to others and their feelings.
    • No judgemental or dismissive comments.
  2. Use Trigger Warnings
    • Trigger warnings can be applied to the title and body of every post.
    • Use spoiler tags and collapsible spoilers to hide content that is sensitive.
  3. Share with care
    • Avoid sharing graphic or detailed descriptions that might trigger others.
    • Focus on feelings rather than explicit details.
  4. No encouragement!!!
    • This can not be overstated. Do not share methods or encourage self-harm, suicide or any other harmful behaviour.
    • Posts will be removed and users banned.
  5. Offer support, not solutions.
    • Offer support and empathy, not unsolicited advice and solutions.
    • You can share what has worked for you, but do not imply it is the best or only way.
  6. Respect Privacy
    • Do not share any personal information (yours or others) such as names, addresses or contact details.
    • Keep discussions within the forum and do not share forum content outside of this community.
    • Trapped Minds will not share any information within this community with others unless it is required to do so under law.
    • Be aware of the forum privacy settings and use them to control how you use the forum.
  7. No Medial Advice
    • Avoid giving or sharing medical advise with others. Instead encourage members to seek help from professionals.
    • You may share personal experiences with treatments but must remind others that individual needs may vary.
  8. Take care of yourself
    • You are here to take care of yourself. If a post is triggering for you, take a step back and practice some self-care.
    • Feel free to skip past any content that might negatively impact your mental health.
  9. Report Concerns
    • If you see any content that violates these rules, please report it to our forum safety team.
    • Do not engage in arguments or confrontations with others.
  10. Follow the guidelines
    • Our team has the right to remove content from users who do not comply with these rules.
  11. Accounts and Account duplication
    • It is against our community guidance to register for more than one account here, unless under exceptional circumstances. Please contact our forum safety team if you require more than one user account.
    • You must ensure a valid and up-to-date email is used at all times. Accounts with email addresses that bounce back will be disabled.
  12. GDPR
    • Ensure that any personal data is share in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
    • You have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data you have shared on this platform.
    • Contact the forum safety team if you need assistance with your data privacy rights.
    • Be mindful not to share personal information that could lead to your identification without your explicit consent.
