  • Respect Pronouns, No Questions Asked
Make a habit of using people’s pronouns correctly and share yours openly to create a safe space for everyone.
  • Educate Yourself and Stay Curious
Learn about LGBTQ+ history, terms, and current issues. Show you're committed to understanding, not just supporting.
  • Stand Up When It Matters
Speak out against discrimination and microaggressions, even when it’s uncomfortable. True allies make their presence known.
  • Listen More Than You Speak
When LGBTQ+ people share their experiences, give them your full attention. Listening goes further than you might realize.
  • Be Inclusive in Everyday Conversations
Use gender-neutral language when possible and avoid assumptions about people’s relationships or identities.
  • Celebrate LGBTQ+ Voices
Support LGBTQ+ creators, authors, and leaders. Uplifting queer voices should be part of your daily life, not just for Pride Month.
  • Be Mindful of Your Privilege
Recognize the advantages you may have and use them to help create space for others, not overshadow them.
  • Correct Mistakes with Grace
If you slip up, acknowledge it, apologize, and move forward. It shows respect and a willingness to learn.
  • Show Up Consistently
Attend events, donate, or volunteer to support LGBTQ+ causes. Your allyship should be visible year-round, not just during Pride.
  • Ask Thoughtful Questions
If you’re unsure about something, politely ask questions (when appropriate). Demonstrating respect and a genuine desire to understand goes a long way.
